Dining
Hanmer Dining Hall will quickly become one of your favorite spots on campus. The spacious facility is a comfortable place to enjoy three meals each day with your friends. A soup and salad bar complements the variety of hot entrées, sides, and desserts. Outside regular meal hours, the ABC Coffee Shop provides beverages and snacks in a cozy atmosphere.
Student Groups & Leadership
If you’re especially interested in missions, don’t miss MIA meetings (Missions in Action). Join the Servant Seekers for weekly prayer. For more active fun, team up with a few others for intramural sports or organize a group hike.
If you’d like to develop your leadership skills, why not run for Student Council or become a class officer or Resident Assistant? Or you could take an active role in a Missions Conference committee or an IMPACT youth event.
Sports & Activities
Be sure to pack a pair of gym shoes! You won’t want to miss out on the friendly competition in basketball, volleyball, dodgeball, and other sports. Since ABC staff get into the games, you might find yourself playing against your professors!

Enjoy God’s Creation
Our campus is centrally located in the heart of southern West Virginia—called the outdoor recreation capital of the East. World-class whitewater rafting, hiking, rock climbing, caving, skiing, and much more are close by. Favorite spots within easy driving distance of ABC include Babcock State Park, the Gauley River, Grandview overlook, and the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve.
Beckley, West Virginia (pop. 17,500) is home to two well-known tourist attractions you can explore: go underground at the Exhibition Coal Mine and enjoy the arts and crafts at Tamarack. When you want to shop, Crossroads Mall is within walking distance of ABC. And an hour’s drive will get you to the capital city of Charleston, where more shopping, arts, and recreation await.
